PLEASE PRAY FOR Turkey – Israel Trumpet Call to the Nations Prayer Journey
Dear Praying Family & Friends,
This Thursday, September 5th, I have a red eye flight from LAX to JFK to join other US team members for our Prayer Journey to the Seven Churches in Asia Minor (Turkey), Houses of Prayer and other sites. On September 15th some of us will then fly to Israel where we will also visit and pray with a number of Houses of Prayer, attend the Feast of Tabernacles in Jerusalem, tour and pray at other significant locations throughout Israel, including the Golan Heights overlooking Syria.
We’re a team of 40 people from different nations, with very diverse backgrounds: Pastors, Leaders, Intercessors. As I’ve read through the bios I’ve been deeply impressed with the maturity, experience, education, training, vision and scope of the people God has called together for this time.
I’m amazed and grateful for the way the Lord and His people have contributed and made this epic journey possible. I’ve never been to Turkey but it is referred to as the “Other Holy Land” since so much Church history has taken place there. I was in Israel in 1977 so I know I will encounter much change, mostly in a positive direction.
Obviously we’re going at a time when tensions have escalated significantly in the Middle East, especially the current crisis in Syria. In prayer we feel this is a set time from the Lord and, though somewhat dangerous and challenging, feel privileged to be there at a moment when we see Bible prophecy being fulfilled before our eyes. As I’ve prayed about this I’ve been reminded that the safest place to ever be is in the very “center of God’s will.” God is sovereign and faithful. Of course, I’ve flown into danger before, Vietnam in 1967 and Gulu, Uganda, center of the Lord’s Resistance Army & Joseph Kony, in 2008. I have a deep peace in my heart, faith and confidence that God is with us and has ordained this journey.
Please find attached a Very Informative PDF of our itinerary. I thank you for your support and would value your prayers for me and our team as we endeavor to “shape history” through prayer. I return to Simi Valley on September 26th.
I’m still prayerfully believing to attend YWAM Belgium’s 30th Anniversary Celebration in Brussels on October 12th. As the Founder I feel it’s important to be there to mark this important milestone. I have many friends and colleague I can stay with while there but still need to see provision for airfare.
Again, Thank You SO much for your love, prayers and support. We’re in this together and I will try to update you as time and internet access allow.
In His Shalom,

The Real Causes of the Conflict Between Turkey and Israel
http://iakal.wordpress.com/2014/08/23/the-causes-behind-the-conflict-between-turkey-and-israel/
Thank you for your article which explains the geo political situation. Our concern & motivation was to address the spiritual environment which lies behind all human motivation and activity.
I believe that the spiritual environment is not a significant determinant of the international arena. I hope this does not sound very cynical. Thank you very much for your reply
There are enormous spiritual forces at conflict which are reflected in the geo-political machinations all around us. From a human perspective, what you say is true, but there is a spiritual reality and force behind every human being and human institution in our world. I would invite you to watch the video in this link to illustrate what I’m saying: http://vimeo.com/104553452
Thank you very much for the link. I will watch it carefully
I think this graphically illustrates the spiritual conflict going on currently in the middle east but could also illustrate other parts of our world.
